fabrikate portraiture

I often get asked if I do portraiture. The answer is yes, but I have found that it is very dependent on what else is going on in my life at that time. I’m trying to push myself to do more of this work. It is very rewarding, and I love to see the smiles on peoples’ faces when I show them the finished photographs.

Below are portraits from this morning. I do a yearly portrait of my daughter around her birthday. I was not surprised when she chose Lake Michigan. She is a natural when it comes to swimming, and who can resist the call of the lakeshore on a beautiful Sunday morning?

A perfect day to visit the beach!

ShellonSand

Today was the most beautiful day we have had for weather in a very long time. I brought my daughter to visit the Lake Michigan shoreline and snapped a few photos while we were out. It was interesting to see the end result of the recent flood we experienced. The entire shoreline was covered in driftwood which included some monster tree trunks.

At Mackinac Island

Most photographers never post pictures of themselves. I am one of those people… until today. My husband took this pic of me taking a photo of the Mackinac Bridge in Northern Michigan. This was back in September. We are standing on the front porch of the Grand Hotel, and I am using my most commonly used piece of photography equipment, my phone.
